Health Care

The Klein-Begin Lifestyle Village will have it’s own dedicated Health Care Centre. The physical structure will be owned by a sectional title owner and the management of the health care services will be outsourced and managed by a reputable and registered seniors health provider. The Klein-Begin Lifestyle Village Home Owners Association will have the responsibility to appoint and manage the health care service provider through a clearly defined Service Level Agreement. The health care provider will also be able to provide a step down service to residents and non-residents that need additional care after being discharged from hospital.

The Health Care offering will be provided on a consumption bases, with prices set by the health care providers, and will include the following:

Klein-Begin Clinic

The Clinic will be open to residents for routine checks, dressings and medical related consultations that may be required from time to time. The clinic will be operated by the appointed Medical Care Team and occasionally by visiting medical practitioners.

Assisted Care Suites

These are special assisted care suites in the main building of the village and will include 6 Assisted en-suite Care Suites. The following services will be available to the residents in the Assisted Care Suites:

Daily personal care,
Regular staff check ups by trained healthcare professionals,
Delivery of meals on demand to ensure nutrition,
Panic button in case of emergency.

Frail Care

There will be 10 private use frail care suites that will each be 28sqm. These have been designed with privacy, respect and space to allow the patients to recover at their own pace. The services include:

Short term care (Surgery recovery),
Long term care,
3 daily meals (Special diets available),
Medical Emergency and stabilising,
Daily laundry,
Access to specialists such as physio's etc (own account).

Private Care Companion Nursing

For more specialised services, Vredenburg has a good infrastructure which includes a private as well as a provincial hospital which are supported by several medical specialists the visit Vredenburg on a regular basis.

The Klein-Begin Health Care Centre will be able to provide care for those residents that require a high degree of personal care. The Clinic team will in consultation with the resident develop a caring service that responds to the residents' individual specific requirements.
